About Tombix
Hi! I’m Aysegul, as of writing this I am 19 and this is my small business!
I am a Veterinary Nursing student at Bristol University, England. I have worked in the animal sector all my life, having dedicated my life to animals, dogs in particular.
So, what’s in the name?
Tombix- odd yet catchy name, or at least I like to think so. So why choose it?
Tombix is the nickname of my pup Toby- a ~4.5-year-old Border Collie from Dog’s Trust.
Before him I was a mess in every sense- physically, mentally and emotionally. I was a nervous wreck and a social recluse. This all changed when I adopted Toby in 2018. He helped me become a more social, confident, healthier person- both mentally and physically. Toby encouraged me to take risks in my art, to be bold and try things I was too scared to do before (like this shop!), to talk to people and help me through my difficulties. As he grew from a nervous, reactive pup I grew from my former self. I like to think we evolved from out past selves together.
I owe everything I’ve achieved to him, hence why this brand is under his name. It’s the least he deserves ♥

We make an effort to use recyclable and more sustainable packaging and products that will last longer to stay away from landfill. We care about the environment and the creatures that live in it and we are still finding ways to further shrink our carbon footprint.
We are currently achieving this by using biodegradable and compostable Green Jiffy Bags®, repurposed bubble wrap, repurposed recycled card and eco-friendly washi tape.
Our badges and magnets are handmade to order, meaning no waste products and no waste plastic.
All of our shirts, phone cases and mugs are also printed to order, meaning no wasteful stock!

We are currently a team of 3- as small as it gets! I, Aysegul, am the lead brains, artist and producer behind Tombix, but I couldn’t have made it this far without my friends Hillary with packaging and Nes with the bookkeeping. We have currently only collaborated with one young artist, @scoopti_oop of Instagram, but we hope to work with more in the future!
As a small business in this pandemic (when we started), all and any support is greatly appreciated. You can support our group and dream through ordering from the site or from our retailers, tagging our shop and social media and spreading the good word. Thank you, your support is everything!
We’re pro adoption and responsible breeders
As our team are all rescue dog owners, we are very much pro adoption! We encourage research as well as responsible, honest and safe rescues and responsible, proven ethical breeders. We are against backyard breeding and puppy mills- the main cause of pups ending up in rescues. We hope to collaborate with rescues in the future for fundraising!
